Cannot play some songs that I'll select: (!) will appear next to song title and this notification will appear: The song...... could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it? After choosing "locate" nothing happens. Most of the music in my iTunes Library have come from CDs.

Ctrl-click on a song that does play & select "Show In Finder". This will open a finder window showing your iTunes Library on your hard drive.
Check in this folder structure for the music you can't play. It will either be there or it won't.
When you select "Locate" a Finder window should open, the exact same one as above, & it's here that you select any song that has a !
