Too many people ringing Apples Help desk with this problem. I can't hear the sound, why because it's turned right down, probably done by another App like GarageBand.
Thank you very much. When the message said "volume", although I'm a stereo system freak, my mind went to HDD. So I thought there was something wrong with my disc. Indeed the sound volume was down and I was to blame for that.
