iTunes/Airport Express connection problem

The icon on iTunes Library page sometimes doesn't appear so I can't always stream music from iMac to hifi in the next room.

That button only appears if it can see the hifi via the network, sounds like either the Hifi is going to sleep, or the iMac or HiFi has a weak WiFi connection.

Thanks for that. I suspected that might be the case. I wonder why there is a weak Wifi connection. Sometimes it works well. Of course, the hifi is in the next room but I thought that the point of Airport Express was that a signal could be sent round the whole house. Perhaps I should take this up with Apple Care support?

Is the HiFi in the next room an Apple product?

No it's not. The Airport Express is connected directly to a Sugden amplifier.
