Hello all.
Just incase its relevant, background 1st:
Old G4 OSX 10.4, power unit died, bought 2nd hand G4 with OSX 10.5 installed, but no Iphoto on there, no problem, took HD from old mac & installed into new, now dual booting.
New mac now has Iphoto available.

the problem is:
when i connect my camera, Sony DSLR, Iphoto does not recognise it & will not open while its attached, so i have to drag & drop photo's onto the desktop, then eject camera so that Iphoto will open, then move pics from desktop into Iphoto.
And even more annoying, once transferred Iphoto is re-dating the photo's, to some point last september & it will not allow me to edit these dates, all this camera data was editable on my old mac so what's up.
Will i have to buy newer version of iphoto / ilife, & how much does it cost.

Thanks

I can't help with your problem, but I wouldn't trust my Digital Photos to a drive that old.
