Intra-oofice note app?

I'm looking for an app or program or something that makes it possible to have, like, shared notepads within an office. Y'know? Something that appears on everyone's screen that can be updated in real time. It seems like a pretty basic concept but I am struggling to find something suitable. Any help would be much appreciated.

I would consider Dropbox, if each user has access to the folder where the documents are then real time editing will be possible.

Each would need to download/install Dropbox on their computer then you could just use the Public folder ...
