I am trying to convert an imessage thread on my mac into an ebook. I have found the 'File' - 'Print' - 'convert to pdf' option but when the imessage thread is converted, all of the photos within the thread are very small. Can anyone suggest a way to export/convert an imessage thread into a format which could then be used to make an ebook?

Hello and welcome.
I saw the same issue when I did a test a few minutes ago. I don't know of any easy way to accomplish your desired outcome. About the only other way to enlarge things would be to expand the size of the Messages window and perform screen captures. You could then crop them to the correct size, open them all simultaneously, combine them into a PDF as separate pages.
Sorry there isn't an easier way,
