Last 12 months have purchased 2 x new iMac Mini computers. Latest specs.
First machine started to randomly lose screen signal.

We leave the computers on all day and just reawaken with mouse or keypad. Works perfectly ...... until it doesn't.
Problem slowly gets worse then won't work at all. Send to retailer, fixed and returned.

Now my second machine is doing exactly the same thing.
Only time I can get a signal is if I hold the power button down for about 7 or 8 seconds then the screen lights up, and then turns off.

Help please ....
Regards,
Don.

Hello,
  • These are both Mac mini computers, correct, as there isn't such a thing as an iMac Mini?
  • What brand/model are the external displays?
  • Are you using any video adapters?
  • Have you checked the energy saver/sleep settings on both Macs and displays?

Thanks Cory.
Have since returned to retailer to be advised that the have had quite a few of these failures and we were just lucky enough to get two.
Didn't say what the problem was/is unfortunately.
