Hello, good morning. I've had an iMac computer since 2015, but for a while now it has been suffering from kernel panics and I'm not quite sure why it happens. i'm assuming it's because of a hardware piece that's not working properly.
This is the message that appears:

panic(cpu 3 caller 0xffffff7f88659ad5): userspace watchdog timeout: no successful checkins from com.apple.logd in 120 seconds
service returned not alive with context : unresponsive dispatch queue(s): com.apple.firehose.drain-mem, com.apple.firehose.io-wl

service: com.apple.WindowServer, total successful checkins since load (1390 seconds ago): 139, last successful checkin: 0 seconds ago

I have had a few Kernel Panic situations in my Lon Mac history. and it is more likely some software in the unix core has had a crash because of a missing/deleted or corrupted kernel. I doubt it is. hardware problem.

and sad to say, fixed them by re installing a clean new system.

you would try deleting caches and prefs. and try starting by holding down the shift key...

found this on Tube.

regards, Sandy
