After migrating my old iMac (from Time Machine backup) to my new iMac (21.5inch, late 2015) I have in icon "Macintosh HD" on my desktop. I don't want it there but can't get rid of it. It's in the right place in Finder; I just want it off my desktop. Any similar experiences?

What i would advise you to do is:
1. Go To FInder Prefererences
2. In General Unselect the Hard Disk option
