when I try to connect with someone the connection doctor says
"Tried to send UDP SIP "invite" to the following IP addresses and ports:
70.156.38.55:2870, 192.168.1.2:2870"
What does this mean?

Hi there and welcome,

is the other person running iChat ?

The Invite iChat is sending... is not getting to them.

The other person will probably need to set up port forwarding on their 'Router'.

Can you give a little more info?

regards

I am the only one with a Mac. I have had my family "buddies" log into AOL. We have connected randomly for a time. But for some reason the connections are not going through.
Forgive my ignorance but I need step by step instructions (that's one reason we have Macs)

I do not understand what you mean by this: port and router are not in my computer vocabulary.

The other person will probably need to set up port forwarding on their 'Router'.

Thank you for your help, Roxie
