I Mac Won't stay connected too new 2wire

I changed provider to AT&T UVerse and was hooked up with 2wire587. But every time i try to use the machine i have to go through dynostics to get rehooked up. I have two problems (+) i am an old man and I know very little about this. Thanks

I have had 55 lookers and no help. Is this question not stated correctly or too simple to bother with? Possibly I just don't understand how to use this help.

Hi and welcome,

Am not in USA and never used a 2wire587 but you could try this remove all prefered networks within system preferences > networks, reboot Mac and router then set up new network.
Once you have done this reboot the Mac again and see if all is remembered and you get an instant connection.
