I mac refuses to accept password

late 2016 24 w/mojave is not recongnzing password and cursor keeps jumping and disappearing have used 2 different key boards and it continues even when using external ssd drive .......cannot access onyx or disk warrior to help clear up problem used disk aid in utilities and disk aid app, removed caches...........no help......

sorry didnt get back until now, got a little virus,...........late 2015 the keyboard, wireless connected as is the mouse seems to be the culprit, havent had any problems since switching to a substitute micro soft kb as back up ........the external ssd has preformed well so far, but then again havent tried to open the imacs internal hd.......if it aint broke etc.....
