How to update Firmware on a Pioneer BDR-209D Optical Drive on a MAC

Hey you guys..... Need to update Firmware on a Pioneer BDR-209D Optical Drive on a MAC Pro to v 1.5.1.

I am noticing that all firmware updates via Pioneer are PC .exe files. How do I do this on my MAC OS High Sierra?

Hello,

I assume you added this Pioneer drive to your Mac Pro, as they no Mac has shipped with a Blu-ray drive. That model is only officially supported for Windows PCs per the Pioneer website, so I would assume you would need to install it in a PC to update the firmware due to the lack of Mac support.
