How do I use "Default Answer"

In my automator actions, Ask for Text, I want some default values (the most used), however despite what I put in the "Default answer box, I get the string value from the previous action.

what do I need to do to have my default text appear?

Click On Options, Enable Ignore the action's input

Options is greyed out and not selectable in that action

Strange it is on my version. Version 2.2.4 and Ask for Text 1.1

Mine is automator 2.1.1

OS 10.6.8

and options is definitely not selectable

I'm not sure there is a fix other than upgrading.

Changing to Lion would cause many of my systems to fail. I would not consider it an upgrade
