How do I disable Monterey Quick Look for certain file types?!

I updated to Monterey over the weekend, now if I select a .xml file in Finder and tap the Spacebar, some new "preview" opens it instead of the app I assigned it to (TextMate), and the preview (Quick Look, I discovered) shows a button at the top right to open it in TextMate (the file type's default)...

So this adds more steps to my workflow... super-annoying.

I'm not seeing how to disable this for .xml files or anything else and just let the Spacebar open the file in the default set app.

Hello,

I don't know of a way to disable QuickLook for only certain file types. You can set a different default application to open different file types, but that doesn't transfer to QuickLook.
