I had the hard drive replaced on my Mac mini and now I have to replace everything form My Passport. I can't useMigration Assistant. We are now getting an error message that there is not enough room on the computer for the files that I saved from the very same computer. Cant even disconnect the passport to go to the apple store, when I try to eject a message comes up saying that there are programs using it! Can you help!

Hi and welcome,
Lets start by trying to eject it, click the Apple top left menu bar and select force quit. This should show all running Apps (as my screen shot) and the ones accessing Passport. If it does quit them one by one the try and eject. Hope this makes sense.
NB.
Do not force quit Finder.
