I'm trying to use Google Document Viewer, it requires a URL pointing to my local file. Tried using the path shown when the file is open and dropping down its filename path by holding down Cmd while clicking on the window's filename. This did not work with the 'http: .... ' appended before it per the GD Viewer sparse instructions. Also tried a couple other options mentioned in the instructions but no success. I'm trying to view and resave the locked PDF doc which presumable can result in an unlocked text file. A full URL example with generalized local disk and folder name would help.

don't think so???

Open Terminal
Drag and drop the file into there, this will give you the full path.
a file URL is normally file:// not http://
