I cant get past the flashing question mark folder at boot. I used to be able to after a number of tries and rebooting but now my Mac Air just wont startup. Luckily, I was able to back up my files.

I tried reinstalling OS X mavericks before when it boot up normally and was successful in doing so but this did not seem to help with my problem.

My mac cant seem to detect the startup disk. When doing "command+r" and disk utility, there were no startup to boot from.

How do i resolve this?? Should I just get my hard drive replaced since reinstalling did not work??

Hello and welcome.

-Have you tried resetting PRAM?
-Have you tried performing an Option boot - do any drives show up there?
