HDMI trouble

I have used HDMI with my macbook pro for 4 months.
Yesterday my TV won't recognize. No trouble before. One day worked, the next day not.
Says "no signal" This is on all HDMI inputs.
When I connect, my mac flashes, as it is connecting.
It acts no different then when it was working.
I tested my mac on another identical TV. Didn't work.
Tried a Sony Viao on the same TV, but nothing ... probably not set up, as they never use HDMI.
I have a WD TV box, and works fine connected to my TV with same HDMI cable, so it isn't the cable.
It's either my mac, or the mini port.
Mini port is only 4 months old, has not been dropped, or damaged in any way.

Any ideas?

You seem to have done all the tests.

I'm guessing that the HDMI TV isn't showing under Monitors also.

Must be the Mac or the Dongle, lets hope its the dongle.

what's a Dongle? The mini port adaptor?

Are you using the Apple MiniDisplay to HDMI dongle?

Wow, went to the store and it disappeared while linking to it. Apple used to sell a cable like this.
