Have changed iBooks audio files

I have recently changed the audio files in iBooks from .aax to .zch and I am wondering how to change it back so I can listen to my audiobooks. Help would be very appreciated. Many thanks

Am running macOS Monterey 12.5.1
Am also running Books 4.4 (5177)
now as to the how and where I changed the files I cannot rightly remember as I was cleaning the keyboard which I thought was turned off

No worries...sorry for the delayed reply.

Normally, audiobooks are stored in the Music Library and are in aax format as you stated. If you can find the files, you can right-click and choose Get Info. You should then be able to display and change the extension back to aax from zch.

If you purchased them from Apple, you should be able to re-download them as well.
