Gray line "predictive" [something] in text

How can i get rid of the annoying gray line with words in it that appears when I am trying to write a text msg?

I hope this is an OK place for this question. Everywhere else I try I get "You have insufficient privileges". How does one obtain "privileges" that make it possible to obtain a response?

Your thread is in Mac OS X but are you talking about texting on an iPhone?

Next time you see the "insufficient privileges" message can you take a screenshot & post it ?
