Hi,

I run a website and I would like to automate a few repetitive tasks.

I film approx 20 people a day, each video is approx 2-4mins long. I then upload that footage to the website. The website contains a video wall and in order for the wall to work correctly I have to create the following things:

Video MP4- I create a 720p video from the original footage in FCPX

Video JPG - I export the first frame of the footage as a JPG

GIF - I then create a 480x480px mp4 in FCPX - which I put this into photoshop and convert into a gif.

240 x 240 JPG - I save the first frame as a jpg

Video OGG - I alter the filename of the MP4 to OGG

I am very new to applescripts and automator and before I attempt to get my hands dirty with it. I wondered if someone could tell me how possible it would be to achieve the above? Is there a way to automate the entire process? or sections of the process? and do any of you have any pointers/tips/resources or know of anything that already exists that I could use or good places to learn how to do this?

Thanks so much for your time.

Lil
