Getting British version of iTunes Store in USA

I'm in the USA. My MacBook Pro, OS 10.7.3, has never been outside the USA. But when I go to iTunes and open the iTunes Store, it's clearly a British version (British "programmes", prices in pounds, etc.) Why is this, and how can I get the US iTunes Store?

Scroll right down to the bottom of the iTunes Store page, you will see a Flag Icon, click it and then select the correct store.
