G5 no internet

In the studio at work we have a brand new imac & a G5 which both plug into the broadband via ethernet, the imac is connecting to the internet no probs, before christmas the G5 was connecting fine, since returning it will not.
network status says connected via ethernet which is what it should say, but on opening safari it says 'You are not connected to the internet'.
Anyone had similar or got any ideas.

I take it you have rebooted the router?

Reboot the iMac

Sorted now, for some reason the settings for the router & DNS server on the G5 had reset themselves, so copied the settings from the Imac & it connected straight away.
