Dear Ric, Thank you so much for helping me. If I stop receiving messages saying my HD is full, I guess I'm good to go.

Best wishes, Sue

Hello again Ric, Can I transfer all my files to my external drive as a backup? MyLacie drive has 27 .54 GB free so plenty of room.

thanks again, Sue

OMG Ric, I'm getting the dread message again that my HD is full, delete files!!
Maybe I should just delete some files? But I don't know which ones are o.k. to delete :(
Please help,
Your friend Sue

Hi Ric, I did the repair persmissions again. No change. I changed my start up disc to OSX10 instead of the HD (since there is more room in the OSX10 it seems).
No change. Except now, I don't know if it's related, my computer is very, very slow, as if I had dial up.
Ughhhhh. Any help will be greatlly appreciated.
Kind regards, Sue

Yes, I am still getting the dread beachball and startup almost full message.
I put the startup back in the HD. Yesterday, I tried deleting a lot of photos to see if that would help but when I went to empty the trash they weren't in there.
Ugghh, now what? Well, at least we are having beautiful sunny weather here in the S. F. Bay Area. How's yours?
Best regards, Sue
