Flash software cant be viewed in new macs

Hi awhile ago I created educational software in flash which was viewed in shockwave. I have a big problem in that the new macs will not play it. What do I do to recreate it and what software do I use? Can anyone help me please? I have thought if creating apps and splitting it up. Can apps be used on imacs etc?

Apple has been advising people to move away from flash fro the last 5 years.

Cocoa or HTML 5 are 2 options, just don't go to a propriety format not owned by Apple.
