Final cut pro dose not move

I m very beginner of Finalcut pro.
I was working about French subtitle on it.
Not only it took me so long time, very hard to be patient, but also it stopped to move.
The rainbow round stuff is turning and turning but, nothing.
I has been waiting 2 days like this.
I lost too much time without knowing anything about what was real problem.
I tried to turn off the program and the Mac several times...

Nothing to do to make it go.

What to do.
I m so sad because I lost too much energy and time and I m very tired cause I really do not know about Mac and this program.

Please, please help me for that.
