Existing active Apple ID not working to sign into FaceTime & iMessage on a new MacBook

Hi,

Mackbook air M2, ventura.
Yes Apple ID on phone and iPad
No, loading circle keeps spinning.
I got FaceTime to log in but it's not working to receive or make calls from computer
Still no iMessage.
