Just want to relate what I have seen so far with the new version of High Sierra, OS 10.13.4.
The start-up process is still about the same, but both of my Macs shut down faster. Everything is working fine otherwise. It still, though, does take a good amount of time in switching start up devices (my SuperDuper! backups), or Tech Tool Pro's eDrive.
