Error Message on my macbook air

The Error message is: "Dashbooard quit unexpectedly". On putting on my mac that is the error message being displayed and i cannot open any file, folder or application.... I need help on what steps to take to fix this up.

To be clear, when you start your Mac & log into your account you straight away see an error message "Dashboard quit unexpectedly"?

Did you recently install a new widget?
