Sorry to post here but the iPad one seems dead.

I brought in an iPad to a repair place and I had erased all data and settings to ensure my business data was safe.

However I did not have a passcode on it when I erased it.
Will erase all data and settings still function as designed even if passcode was not utilized?

can the data be recovered by them?

Hello and welcome.

Yes, Erase All Content and Settings will delete all of your data, regardless of whether there was a passcode setup. Because of Apple's stance on data privacy/security, the data is not recoverable.

Hope that helps,

C
