Email woes

I have a big iMac, High Sierra 10.13.6. I use MacMail. Just moved website hosting from one host to another (GoDaddy) and lost use of my regular domain-name.com address. I hoped some simple term changes in the Accounts settings would get me going seamlessly - but not happening. For one thing, password is just asterisks and not sure which one it is - see no way to reset it. I have a login ! failed triangle and when I click it, I get an infuriating demand for password -- no idea which one - and none I've tried has worked, obviously! It only shows @ symbol as a hint.. Can anyone help me out of this? Although I have backed up the email, I really hope to keep it in easy to read Mail window. I have gotten the best help from GoDaddy they could give me. It is a POP account, if that matters. All my other email accts are IMAPs.

Hello.

-Was the email POP with your previous hosting company?
-Does GoDaddy offer IMAP email with your plan?
-Can you access your email via a web browser - i.e. webmail?
-Does it work on any mobile devices?
