In the new Mac mail set up, the trash icon is in the middle of the set.

As I (and most others) use trash mot often, why isn't it on the first left?

Hi,

You should be able to click and drag the Trash icon to change the order it is displayed in.

See if that works for you.

OK

Is this Big Sur 11.1 and Mail 14.0?

I am able to reorder by dragging.

Maybe a screenshot of the sidebar in Mail?

Yes, that is what I see too. There is a separate Trash for each account.

You should be able to click and hold, then drag it to reorder.

-Which Mac?
-Trackpad or Mouse?

When I clicked and held on the trash icon, one of the options shown was to customize toolbar. When clicked on this option, the icons stated bouncing like an iPhone window. I was able to move trash then. You figure it!

Ahhh...so you meant the Toolbar at the top of the Mail window and not the sidebar at the left side. That makes sense. You can click View > Customize Toolbar... in the menu bar in Mail, or Option-click/right-click the icons in the toolbar, and then move those icons around or restore the default. My click and drag instructions were for the sidebar, not the toolbar.

Glad you got is sorted.
