Hi Folks,

I use the app that came with my Mac for my eMails.

I have several Folders in it, for eMails I would like to keep and are deemed important.

Would like to back up one or two of the Folders to a USB memory Stick.
Then, if the Mac conks out, i could simply reload them into "Mail".

Not sure how to do it.

I tried the Export option function that did put a Folder on my Desktop.
Looking in the Folder, it seems all gibberish.

Is this what I want, and that if I ever re-load it again into MAIL in the
future, it will turn into English (again) ?

How do i go about this, please ? (really want to do it to a USB Stick in addition to the TIME Machine; and not the "Cloud")

Thanks,
Bob

right click on the mailbox you want to export, choose export mailbox, in the finder box choose the location you want the mailbox to go to (your USB stick).
to re import click the file then import mailboxes, from the message box choose Files in mbox format then click continue.
I have tested this out and the files all imported correctly.
