E v 4G signals

My wife & I both have an iPhone SE. We are with the same phone provider. Standing beside each other she has "E" and I have "4G"signal. How is this possible? I have noticed this in other places.

Hello,

-I assume they are both running the same version of iOS?
-Which version of iOS is it?
-Do they both get 4G in most places?
-Have you compared the settings in Settings > Cellular on both iPhones?
