Hi,

I have a brand new iMac Desktop, and will be
using Apple MAIL for eMails.

Have Comcast.
Set up as an iMap.

My understanding is that since it is an iMAP, Comcast has on their Server ALL of my old eMails, forever.
True ?

I would like to download and install about a years worth of old eMails, presumably on Comcast Servers still, onro
my new MAC.

Can't figure 0ut how to do it.

Would be appreciative for any suggestions.
Calling Comcast is an exercise in futility.

Thanks,
Bob

Hello,

Your new iMac should sync any emails that are on Comcast's server when setup as IMAP. If you login to Comcast's webmail, can you see any emails? If so, those should sync down.

You may need do leave the Mail application open for a while for it to fully sync. Also, try clicking Mail > Window > Connection Doctor and see if it successfully sings into Comcast.
