Domed imac 10.3.2

I recently removed the bottom section of the dome to replace the battery. For some reason I just can't get the bottom
section to fit back into the dome. Three fourths will slip on but I have about a five inch section that just won't close down.
It is around the lock symbol and grounding screw. Any help appreciated.

Never heard of an "iMac 10.3,2". 10.3.2 was actually a version of OS X Panther, originally OS 10.3.0.

So, we need to know the exact designation of your iMac.
