Can you please recommend software for scanning documents into pdf files using a usb connected upright scanner/ camera to a Macbook Pro running Monterey. The software should have auto focus, keystone correction, auto document alignment, auto page flattening, lighting correction, etc. Document size mostly A4 maybe some A3.

Hi Cory,
The model Is Macbook M1 Pro 16" running Monterey 12.0.1
The brand of sanner is Thustar. It is a USB connected pillar document scanner. i.e the camera is a pillar with a horizontal arm with a down facing USB camera. Documents, books etc can then be placed under the camera and scanned.
Some of the software does not seem to connect to the camera and some does so that seems to be a setting issue.
Hope you can help

OK, thanks.

Haven't ever heard of Thustar until your post.

I assume it is something like this: THUSTAR Webcam 4K & 8MP Document Camera

If so, it will probably be very difficult to find software for that device with the feature set you are looking for. If you happen to have an iPhone/iPad, there is a feature in the Notes/Files apps that turns it into a document scanner: How to scan documents on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. It has pretty much all the features you were asking about and saves them in PDF format.
