SOLVED Doc File Corrupted Or Lost?

Hello,

Recently I upgraded MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2012 OS to Catalina 10.15. After the update, I lost the Microsoft Office. I bought the new subscription and open my essential documents now the file in not opening. I don’t know is it corrupted or I lost the data.

error message - "The document <filename> could not be opened."

I want to recover all files on the original form how do I get back.

Recently I upgraded MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2012 OS to Catalina 10.15

I presume you did a full system backup prior to the upgrade, so you should still have the original file there.
