Hi, thanks for reading this.

Things seem to be fine now, but if it happens again, I'd like to know my options.

My mouse and desktop are being goofy. When I click on an icon, instead of opening, a small balloon opens and offers me the option of opening or not and the option for a 'new folder'. I can't seem to click and drag (it doesn't respond), and instead of scrolling up and down a page, when I scroll, the image gets larger and smaller...

As I said, things seem to be fine now, but just in case...

Does this sound like a mouse issue or mac issue?

Thanks!!

Sounds like the Control key might be sticking, or the mouse cable, or you are right clicking by mistake.

The Mac is responding to a right-click - what you're seeing is the contextual menu. Check System Preferences > Mouse and look at your mouse options - if you're not using secondary click, turn it to primary.
