Desktop bookmark icons turned blank (white). ???

After I updated Catalina to 10.15.7 all of my bookmark icons on my desktop turn white (blank). They all still work, but nothing I do will change them back. Anyone else have this problem and solve it? Research says that it has something to do with the desktop cache, but I've emptied it with no luck. Suggestions?

I haven't heard of that issue myself.

-Is it just Internet bookmark webloc files that have the issue, or all files on your Desktop?
-Does it happen in other folders too?

OK, thanks.

Seems like it may be an issue with Safari 14.0.1: Catalina, Safari webloc icon white after Safari update. See if you can update to Safari 14.0.2, as it is working normally on my Mac running Safari 14.0.2.

I use Microsoft Edge. The problem continues with Edge, Safari, Chrome, and Brave. I've tried them all and updated everything.
