While typing in Word, on email, in music programs while entering notes, etc. even a second ago while typing this message the program goes light, has deselected. I don't lose what I'm looking at and I quickly click the mouse and I can continue. How can I get rid of this issue as it is incredibly irritating to have to constantly be click mid-word or sentence to continue? Please let me know asap. Thanks

It almost sounds to me like something is stealing the focus from the app in use. At least from the OPs description.
OP: is the behavior the same with all apps closed (not just the window but the whole app), and only one app open at a time? Curious if another app is stealing the focus from the app you are working in.
