SOLVED Delete mail from server

I have a Mac desk top MACOS MOJAVE Version 10.14.6, And a MacBook Air, same version. I use the desktop everyday.
The lap top I use once in a while, Maybe once a month. Is their a way to stop mail from building up on the laptop while not using
it after checking it on my desk top? Hope I have worded this proper. Thank you
