I have had an older monitor hooked up to my macbook successfully; now I want to use a newer LG monitor. It hooks up all right, I can see the screen background, but the rest of the desktop doesn't show up (at one time I could see a little bit of it off to the left). So I know it's working... it is a higher resolution than my older macbook will support 1600 x something. I can see the panel when I open the display window in system preferances, but still not the rest of the desk top. Any suggestions?
