Hey guys,

I use a MacBook pro 2014.
My command and zero keys have not been working for the past one week now.
Sometimes they just work but most times they don't.

Things I've tried:
*Checking the mouse keys settings.
*SMC reset

Please help?

Hello and welcome,

I would guess there may be foreign material underneath the key cap if it works intermittently. Do you have some compressed air you could try to blow out anything under the key? I don't recommend trying to remove the key cap, as they are fairly easily damaged.

Thanks a lot, Cory.
Okay, I just tried using compressed air to blow out any foreign material under the keycap. But it's still not working.
I'm guessing this may be more than an air blowing issue since both keys work and stop at the same intermittent times.
Do you think there's something else I could try?

No worries.

Not much else you can do, without removing the key caps. There still could be something under there, or there could be damage from an unknown liquid spill.

You could try an external USB keyboard to see if the same keys do not work, to isolate the issue to the built-in keyboard, or an OS issue.
