Hi,

Eyesight isn't too great anymore.

Any way of having the "thin" menu across the top (not sure what it's called), along
with its "drop-downs" appear in a larger font ?

Thanks,
Bob

Try this:

Navigate to System Preferences ~> Accessibility~> Zoom
  1. Uncheck "Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom"
  2. Check "Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom"
  3. Check "Smooth Images"
  4. "Zoom Style": Picture-in-Picture
  5. Click the "More Options..." button
  6. "Window Position": Follow mouse cursor
  7. "Cursor Style": System cursor
  8. Check "Enable temporary zoom"
  9. Close System Preferences
Next experiment by pressing the keyboard combination of Option Command 8. You should see a rectangular box which magnifies anything it's put over. Move your mouse around to move the magnified rectangular area. You can move the mouse cursor up to the top menubar & test if you are able to see it better.

When you are finished press the keyboard combination again Option Command 8 to make the magnified box disappear until you need it again. You can alter the size of the magnified area too if you want but we'll deal with that if it's something you want to do later on.

Hello,

No, the menu bar font size is fixed. The only way to make it larger is to "lower" the resolution of your entire display, which will make everything bigger.

 > System Preferences... > Displays > Resolution: Scaled

Choose a "smaller" set of numbers, and the items on entire screen will be larger. However, they may be slightly blurrier, as it will no longer be running at the native default resolution of the display panel.

Hope that helps.
