CD'S not playing.

Despite prompting cds to play and open in Itunes and preferences when inserted, discs just spin around for a few seconds and are then ejected. They used to play just fine. Help. Q.

A few questions for you:

-Which model Mac?
-What version of OS X?
-Did this issue just start happening, or have you had random issues with discs mounting that have gotten worse over time?
-Does it happen with every disc - including CD/DVD/software?
