Capturing From a VCR and Sending to IMac Late 2012

Hello,
I want to capture Video and Audio from a VCR to my iMac Version10.16.7. I have a E-SDS CBVS to HDMI Converter with a HDMI Output which I want to run to my iMac. I need some type of adapter that will plug into the HDMI Cable tp a USB 2.0 slot. Help would be appreciated. My goal is to copy old VHS tape to digital format.

You will need one of these, or similar, to transfer VHS tapes to your Mac:

You may well be able to view your VHS tapes using your E-SDS device, but I don't know if you will be able to import with it.
