I'm on 10.11.3 I spent 4.5 hours on tech support trying to upload new files to my website. Finally, the tech said that I need to do a Traceroute in Mac. But I can't find anything on my Mac called Network Utility. Where is it hiding? Or where do I get it?

Thanks for any suggestions this has been a frustrating day.

Hello and welcome.

You can find Network Utility using a Spotlight search:

Either click the Spotlight icon on the right-hand side of the menu bar or hold the Command key down and press the Space bar and a Spotlight Search window will appear - type in Network Utility, then press Return or double-click it in the list of results.

BTW - it is hidden in the System folder:

Macintosh HD > System > Library > Core Services > Applications

Don't mess around too much in those folders, as they are protected/hidden to ensure system stability.

Thanks I found it and preformed a trace route, but, I don't think I'm fixing the problem. Here is the response I get. I don't know what it all means.
Traceroute has started…
traceroute to www.headwaterscorvetteclub.com (155.254.132.87), 64 hops max, 72 byte packets

1 dslrouter (192.168.254.254) 2.289 ms 0.571 ms 0.477 ms
2 * * *

Looks to me like nothing is getting past your router, which is why you only see it's IP address and then * * * after that.

-Are you posting here with the same Mac?
-Do you have any manual DNS servers or other network settings entered in System Preferences... > Network?
-Using Network Utility, can you ping google.com successfully?
