I’m having trouble making stickers on my iPhone 14 Pro. I used to have this option, and I still get the "Add Sticker" prompt when I long-press an object, but it doesn’t pop up after that, so I can't create the sticker.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows why this might be happening? Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If you're having trouble creating stickers on your iPhone 14 Pro, even though you're seeing the "Add Sticker" prompt, it might be a software issue or a simple setting that needs adjustment. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Update iOS:
    • Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.
  2. Restart Your iPhone:
    • A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches. Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone, then press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears.
  3. Check iMessage Settings:
    • Go to Settings > Messages and ensure that iMessage is turned on. Sometimes, issues with stickers can be related to iMessage settings.
  4. Reset Keyboard Dictionary:
    • Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary. This will reset your custom words and might fix any underlying issues with the sticker functionality.
  5. Check for Restrictions:
    • Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and ensure that there are no restrictions set that might be affecting the ability to create stickers.
  6. Try a Different App:
    • Open another app where you can create stickers (e.g., Photos app or any third-party sticker creation app) to see if the issue is app-specific.

If the Issue Persists

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it could be a more complex software problem. In this case, you might need to try a more in-depth solution:

  1. Backup and Restore:
    • Back up your iPhone using iCloud or iTunes.
    • Restore your iPhone to factory settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
    • After the restore, set up your iPhone as new and test the sticker functionality. If it works, you can restore your backup.
  2. Contact Apple Support:
    • If the problem continues after a restore, contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance and potentially escalate the issue if it's a known problem.
